This time of year, when it's hot and muggy, the Marjory Harris Cross Florida Barge Canal.....locally known as the "Greenway" has the best trails whether hiking, horseback riding, biking, or kayaking! With many different entry points you can explore ancient oak forests, dense greenery. Pinelands and cool, cool, tree canopy. From beginner to expert there is a trail for everyone. Mountain bikers have huge drops and twists on the enhanced left-overs from diggings that were meant to be a cross Florida barge canal. Street bikes will find the asphalt trails that wind through the land to be magical around every turn.
